My Shoe Fetish

fet·ish

–noun

1.
an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment or habitation of a potent spirit or as having magical potency.
2.
any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion: to make a fetish of high grades.

Sure you could call it a fetish, or fascination...possibly an addiction.
Before the fire I had these amazing 4inch green Italian leather shoes...oh how I miss them. Shoes are a whole new self expression that moves above and beyond clothing.

I have a couple of shoe idols, Stephanie and Tirzah.  Mostly because they can still wear 4 inch heals with ease and grace, and style...and without a hint of a wince in their faces.  Also they have amazing shoe collections...and last but not least, they are the two besides me that most likely remember those green heals, and morned with me at the loss of them...

Well, I have begun the process of rebuilding the family (of shoes) that live in my closet and help me express who I am...or who I would like you to think I am...and here is my latest addition:

They even come with their own bag!
Welcome to the family...and when thinking of this blog post, I looked at some photos of shoes on this fascinating world wide web...and came across these...
Aren't they beautiful? I would only be able to wear them for a moment and then would promptly fall on my face...Steph, Tirzah, want to take them on?

Gettin My Mask On...

As promised to the Bandi's, here is a photo of me and my mask...

There is no way to  make this cute...I know we talked about bows, but it just isn't going to work.
However it is cuter than having your snoring described as a chainsaw.

I suppose that if it prevents stroke, heart attack, and might possibly get my metabolism back to normal, it is worth it...I tried to make it fun by imagining I was a jet pilot, but so far no amazing dreams!

Look at me peacefully pretending to sleep, don't let it fool you, it STINKS!!!

However they do have these little items I can try called nose pillows, now doesn't that sound soft, comfortable and awkward?

Dream World vs. Reality

The other day Knowle informed his teacher that Ryan would be quiting his job and teaching Kung Fu...This made me think 'why not?'

Reality that's why, it always has to creep in and ruin everything...I am often told, and have to admit quite readily that I lean toward the unrealistic side...I tend to think let's just do it and deal with the consequences...Ryan on the other hand is the realistic one...no matter how much he wants to be a Kung Fu Master, he will always do the realistic thing and continue to wash windows...until the business sells and then we can ere on the side of the dream world...

Kung Fu, Coffee Roaster, or as Averey once told people Boot Legger...We will have to wait and see.
