Diagnosis

I went into the sleep Doctor and received my diagnosis...sleep apnea...sounds so simple doesn't it.  It turns out when I did the sleep study they found that I wake up on average 50 times an hour and that I stop breathing on average 80 times an hour. YIKES...glad to still be alive.

Now I have to where this thing called the CPAP...basically a torture device...Mine will most likely be like this...

They have to order it through insurance, so I went home with the knowledge that I am basically not breathing more than I am breathing through the night...how's that for sweet dreams?

  1. Oh, Laurie! I am so concerned. I'm glad you are diagnosed, but what a blow! It seems there is help for your condition, and you may feel better than ever when the therapy has been applied. I hope so! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
